cc-switch on a headless server: is there a CLI or web UI?

cc-switch is a Tauri desktop app for switching Claude Code / Codex provider configs. I run it on a headless server where the desktop UI is useless, so I need a CLI or web interface. Issue #2334 asks for exactly this — has anything official landed, and which community versions actually work?

Status: still open as of June 2026 — no official CLI or web UI has been merged into cc-switch. A maintainer confirmed that cc-switch-cli is currently a separate project and that merging it in is only being discussed after architecture decisions, so today you have to use a fork.

Working alternatives mentioned in the thread:

      • cc-switch-cli (github.com/SaladDay/cc-switch-cli) — a CLI fork, but it does not stay in sync with upstream. Users report missing features such as Codex one-click import and using a GPT reverse proxy for Claude Code.
      • cc-switch-web / cc-switch-webui — a web version exists, but a user who tried it found it awkward to use.
      • cc-switch-remote (github.com/xiaoY233/cc-switch-remote) — a remote-management variant operated over SSH; the author keeps its local feature set synced with upstream, but says the changes are too large to submit as a PR.

The maintainer also stated that cc-switch-cli keeps close contact with the cc-switch community and accepts feature requests via its own issue tracker, so missing features can be requested there.

General advice: before picking any of these forks, verify that the specific upstream feature you depend on actually exists in it, since none are official and they can lag behind. Because these tools manage API provider credentials, expose the web/remote variants only on networks you trust.

What @xiaoY233 tried on GitHub (Partly worked)

A user built cc-switch-remote for SSH-based remote management, keeping the local feature set in sync with upstream for their own use; they could not submit a PR because the changes were too large.

What @jiaobinghao tried on GitHub (Partly worked)

A commenter pointed to the existing cc-switch-cli fork as a possible CLI solution.

What @msuadOf tried on GitHub (Partly worked)

Another user checked cc-switch-cli and found it does not sync with upstream; features like Codex one-click import and GPT reverse-proxy for Claude Code are missing or broken in the fork.

What @xiaoY233 tried on GitHub (Partly worked)

A user tried cc-switch-webui (the web version) but found it troublesome, and then built cc-switch-remote instead once its functionality was mostly complete.

What a GitHub user tried on GitHub (Outcome unclear)

The reporter proposed building a web UI (reusing the desktop frontend) and a CLI, offering to create a PR to push the work forward.
