Figma-Context-MCP: "Headers is not defined" when fetching a file

I use Figma-Context-MCP (GLips/Figma-Context-MCP) as an MCP server in Cursor and fetching a file fails with: "Error fetching file: Failed to make request to Figma API: Headers is not defined". What causes this error and how do I fix it?

Status: fixed in Figma-Context-MCP version 0.4.3 according to the maintainer; the issue was closed as completed.

The maintainer explained that Headers is only referenced when the initial request to the Figma API has already failed and the server falls back to a backup method that uses curl. So this error is a symptom: the original fetch failed first, and the fallback path then produced the Headers is not defined message.

      What to do:

      1. Upgrade the Figma-Context-MCP MCP server to version 0.4.3. No mcp.json or .mcp.json configuration change was mentioned in the thread.
      2. Retry the fetch. After upgrading, you may see a different error related to permissions or something else, because the underlying first fetch was already failing before this message was shown.
      3. If you still see the Headers error on 0.4.3, reopen the issue. If you see a new or different error, open a new issue or report it on the Framelink Discord.

One user reported that reinstalling the Cursor client resolved the error on their device; treat that as a client-side workaround rather than the official server fix.

General advice: if you start seeing a permission-related error after upgrading, check that your Figma access token is scoped to read the target file and that the token is valid. The Headers message may have been masking an authentication or access problem.

What @Pstarsss tried on GitHub (Worked)

Reinstalled the Cursor editor on their device and reported that the 'Headers is not defined' error no longer appeared there.
