Does Figma-Context-MCP support Dev Mode code or Code Connect?
I'm using Figma-Context-MCP (GLips/Figma-Context-MCP). Can this MCP return the code recommended inside Figma Dev Mode? If my design is linked to a design system via Figma Code Connect, can it return the linked design system code? I'm trying to decide between this MCP and the official Figma MCP server.

Not supported. The issue is closed, and the maintainer confirmed on Aug 27, 2025 that Figma-Context-MCP cannot return Figma Dev Mode code or Code Connect data at the moment. The blocker is the Figma API: the maintainer checked the Figma API docs and found no endpoints for pulling Dev Mode code or anything from Code Connect, so there is nothing for the MCP to expose. No configuration flag or workaround is mentioned in this thread.
A commenter noted that the official Figma MCP server reportedly supports pulling Dev Mode code, but this thread does not verify that claim. The maintainer acknowledged the gap and said they would be open to collaborating on an integration design and a pull request if the API eventually supports it.
General advice: if returning Dev Mode code is a hard requirement for your setup, evaluate the official Figma MCP server directly and check which API endpoints it actually uses, since this thread does not confirm it works. For now, Figma-Context-MCP should be used only for design data that the public Figma API exposes, not for Dev Mode or Code Connect content.

A commenter said they had read that the official Figma MCP server supports pulling Dev Mode code and asked how Figma-Context-MCP compares. The maintainer replied that the limitation is Figma not exposing an external API for this data.
