Does Amazon Q Developer CLI support the Ghostty terminal? Which release added support, and how do you fix inline autocomplete that overlaps the text behind it in Ghostty?

Ghostty support is fixed in Amazon Q Developer CLI 1.6.0, released on January 9, 2025. A contributor implemented it in PR #335 and confirmed it would ship in the next release.
After upgrading to 1.6.0, one user reported that inline autocomplete looked asymmetrical and covered the text behind it. A commenter suggested running
q integrations install input-methodand then restarting Ghostty. The thread does not confirm whether this resolved the issue; a contributor said they could not reproduce the rendering problem. If the problem persists, the maintainer-style suggestion was to runq issueto open a ticket, and a separate ticket was opened for this exact issue.About the input-method integration: a contributor explained it is only used to get the cursor position, its source code lives in
crates/fig_input_methodin the repository, and it contains no telemetry as part of the integration. Telemetry can be disabled withq telemetry disable.Did this work for you? What @sewalsh tried on GitHub (Outcome unclear)
