Does Koog support the A2A Protocol for multi-agent systems?
I'm evaluating Koog for building multi-agent systems and want to use the A2A Protocol for agent interoperability. Was A2A support planned, and is it available in a released version? If so, which version do I need to use it?

A2A Protocol support is available in Koog 0.5.0; the maintainer closed this issue as completed on October 3, 2025.
The thread started as a feature request on June 24, 2025. A maintainer confirmed the same day that A2A support was already planned. When asked for a timeline on July 3, the maintainer said no estimate could be given because the team was focused on the next release and stability fixes — A2A would not be in the next release and probably not the one after. Progress was tracked publicly in JetBrains YouTrack issue KG-4, "Implement A2A support for Koog" (https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KG-4/Implement-A2A-support-for-Koog (opens external site)).
On October 3, 2025, the maintainer announced that Koog 0.5.0 includes A2A support, with a Multiplatform SDK and integration with Koog's agents, and linked a JetBrains blog announcement (https://blog.jetbrains.com/ai/2025/10/koog-a2a-building-connected-ai-agents-in-kotlin/ (opens external site)). Upgrade to Koog 0.5.0 or later to use A2A.
