How to view network requests/responses with BrowserMCP?
I'm using BrowserMCP (BrowserMCP/mcp) and need a way to view network requests/responses for debugging and scraping, but the server doesn't appear to have such a tool. There's been an open feature request for this since May 2025. Is there a built-in option, or do I need an alternative MCP server?

Status: still open — as of the last comment in December 2025, BrowserMCP has no built-in tool for viewing network requests/responses, and no maintainer has replied to the request. The thread doesn't describe any configuration or workaround inside BrowserMCP itself; it only points to alternative MCP servers.
If you need this today, commenters suggested two external MCP servers:
- AgentDeskAI/browser-tools-mcp (https://github.com/AgentDeskAI/browser-tools-mcp (opens external site)) — suggested in June 2025 as an MCP server that handles network request/response viewing.
- Playwriter MCP (https://github.com/remorses/playwriter/ (opens external site)) — suggested in December 2025, described as able to track network requests and do everything Chrome CDP and the Playwright protocol can do.
Nobody in the thread confirmed that either works together with BrowserMCP specifically, so evaluate them for your own setup. General advice: the fastest option for quick inspection is the built-in DevTools Network tab in your browser. Also general advice: network-traffic tools can capture cookies and auth headers, so be careful what you record and where the logs are stored.
