Does ida-pro-mcp support multiple IDA Pro instances?
I use ida-pro-mcp (mrexodia/ida-pro-mcp) with IDA Pro and need to analyze several binaries at the same time. Does the project support multiple IDA Pro instances, and where is that support implemented?

This issue is closed as completed: multi-instance support was implemented, but only for the headless IDA server (idalib), not for the IDA UI.
The issue author proposed and tested an architecture with a main server on port 13337 that proxies tool calls to per-instance servers starting at port 13338, plus a
list_instancestool that returns each instance's binary hash, module, path, port, and registration time. The author said their build with this feature worked well but was not yet ready for a pull request. The maintainer then linked PR #222 as "This implements multi-instance for headless ida" and, when a commenter asked whether the changes were included after pulling the latest repository code, pointed to PR #227 and said "it's in the idalib headless server only, not in the UI."
So if you use IDA Pro through the headless idalib server, multi-instance support is available. If you run the interactive IDA UI, multi-instance is not implemented there. The thread does not state whether either PR has been released or merged into a specific branch.

The issue author tested their own build with a main server on port 13337 proxying to per-instance servers starting at port 13338, with a
list_instancestool. They said it worked well but still needed more testing before submitting a PR.Source: https://github.com/mrexodia/ida-pro-mcp/issues/211#issuecomment-3695239215 (opens external site)

A commenter pulled everything from the repository and installed it, then asked whether the multi-instance changes were included. The maintainer responded that the implementation is in the idalib headless server only, not in the UI; the commenter's installed version was not explicitly confirmed.
