Does mcp-toolbox support Snowflake as a database source?
I'm using googleapis mcp-toolbox (genai-toolbox) as an MCP server and want to connect it to a Snowflake database. The existing PostgreSQL source does not work for Snowflake out of the box. Has Snowflake support been added, and where can I find the connection configuration?

Fixed: Snowflake support was merged and was scheduled to ship in the release following 2026-01-08; the issue was closed as completed.
On 2025-07-08 a maintainer confirmed they were open to a contribution adding Snowflake support. On 2026-01-08 a contributor announced Snowflake support was merged and would be included in the next release, which was planned for the following day. The reporter stated that the existing PostgreSQL source does not work for Snowflake out of the box, and suggested either tweaking the PostgreSQL connection to support Snowflake or, as an alternative, adding a Snowflake driver plus a connection example.
The thread does not include the actual Snowflake source configuration or connection example, so after upgrading to the release that includes the feature, check the project's release notes and sample configuration files for the Snowflake driver details. No workaround for using the PostgreSQL source against Snowflake was described in the thread.
