server-github MCP only returns 30 PR files - where did development move?
I am using the server-github MCP server from modelcontextprotocol/servers, and get_pull_request_files only returns 30 files when a pull request has more than 30 changed files. Does this server support pagination, and if not, where should I go for a maintained version?

This was not fixed in the old repository. A maintainer commented on 2025-04-19 that development for server-github has moved to GitHub's own repository at github.com/github/github-mcp-server, and pull requests to server-github in modelcontextprotocol/servers are no longer being merged. So the old server-github package will not receive pagination options.
The issue reporter explained that get_pull_request_files uses the GitHub API default page size of 30, so larger PRs are truncated. Another commenter confirmed the same problem affects pull request reviews and comments. No pagination parameter or workaround was provided in the thread.
If you are hitting this limit, the practical step is to stop using the modelcontextprotocol/servers version and switch to GitHub's official github/github-mcp-server, which is where continued development happens. This is general advice based on the maintainer's deprecation notice; verify the current server's configuration and pagination behavior in its documentation.
