Am I affected? Affected: better-auth < 1.6.11. Fixed in: 1.6.11.
- Check your version: run
npm ls better-auth. Versions < 1.6.11 of better-auth are affected.
What to do now
- Upgrade to the fixed version: run
npm install better-auth@1.6.11(first patched version 1.6.11). - Upgrade to
better-auth@1.6.11or later. - Set
oidcProvider({ allowPlainCodeChallengeMethod: false })(and the equivalent onmcp). - Override the metadata to drop
"none"fromid_token_signing_alg_values_supported. - Migrate to
@better-auth/oauth-provider.
General practice, not from the source: if the affected software could read tokens or credentials, rotate them after upgrading; pin versions and review changes before updating tools your agents run.
