Am I affected? Affected: npm/@vite-mcp/vite-type >= 0. Fixed in: no fix reported yet.
- Check your version: run
npm ls @vite-mcp/vite-type. Versions >= 0 of @vite-mcp/vite-type are affected.
What to do now
- Remove the package if it is installed: run
npm uninstall @vite-mcp/vite-type. - Remove the package from the computer.
- Rotate all secrets and keys stored on that computer right away, from a different computer.
- Do not assume the computer is clean after removing the package, because removing it may not remove all the malicious software.
General practice, not from the source: if the affected software could read tokens or credentials, rotate them after upgrading; pin versions and review changes before updating tools your agents run.
