Am I affected? Affected: @decoopus/chatgpt-setup (all versions). Fixed in: no fix reported yet.
- Check your version: run
npm ls @decoopus/chatgpt-setup. Versions all versions of @decoopus/chatgpt-setup are affected.
What to do now
- Remove the package if it is installed: run
npm uninstall @decoopus/chatgpt-setup. - Rotate all secrets and keys stored on the affected computer, doing so from a different computer.
- Remove the package from the computer.
- Do not assume removing the package clears everything: because an outside entity may have had full control, removal may not delete all malicious software left by installing it.
General practice, not from the source: if the affected software could read tokens or credentials, rotate them after upgrading; pin versions and review changes before updating tools your agents run.
