Does the Atlassian MCP server support Confluence label management?
I'm using the Atlassian MCP server with Confluence and need to add, remove, and list page labels for automation. The server can create pages but doesn't expose label management, so pages that depend on labels for indexing (e.g., Page Properties Reports) need a manual follow-up in the UI. How do I get label management working?

Fixed: label management for Confluence pages is now available in Atlassian MCP v2, which the maintainers announced as recently released on 2026-09-20 in this thread. v1 does not expose label tools.
To use it, switch to v2. The release comment links to the official getting-started page for the Atlassian Remote MCP server: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-ai-gateway/docs/get-started-with-the-atlassian-remote-mcp-server/ (opens external site). For early access details and feedback, the maintainer pointed to the community post "[Preview] Atlassian Rovo MCP v2" (community.atlassian.com). During that preview, a maintainer confirmed initial label tools were enabled in the v2 Preview, including
addLabelsToConfluenceContent. Before v2, a commenter reported the workaround was to manually add the label in the Confluence UI after MCP creates the page; this thread doesn't confirm whether v2 fully replaces that workflow, only that v2 introduces label tooling for Confluence pages.
General advice: after upgrading, verify the exact tool name and parameter format in the v2 docs, because that detail isn't in this thread.
