Does mobile-mcp support screen recording for devices and emulators?
I'm using mobile-mcp to automate mobile app flows and want to capture screen recordings as evidence. Does the server support recording the device, simulator, or emulator screen? I saw a feature request for start/stop recording tools and want to know if it was implemented and in which version.

Yes. The feature was completed and shipped in mobile-mcp v0.0.46. A maintainer confirmed in the thread that this version can record an MP4 of your device, simulator, or emulator. The issue was then closed as completed.
The exact tool names and parameters were not listed in the thread, so check the available tools in the MCP client you're using (for example, by listing tools in your MCP client's UI) or the mobile-mcp documentation for the recording tool name. The original request suggested
mobile_start_record_screenandmobile_stop_record_screen, but the final API may differ. If you need to record to a specific file path, look for a
saveToor output-path option in the tool's input schema once the tool is available in your client.General advice: after upgrading to v0.0.46 or later, restart your MCP client so it picks up the new tools. If you don't see a recording tool, verify that the configured mobile-mcp version is actually v0.0.46 or newer.
