How do I reply to post comments, including nested replies, in xiaohongshu-mcp?

  Status: fixed in v2.2.2 of xiaohongshu-mcp. The maintainer announced on 2026-07-27 that the feature is supported and asked users to upgrade to v2.2.2 to try it.

  The feature is exposed as the MCP tool reply_comment_in_feed. Per the maintainer's explanation, it can reply to a specified comment and also handles second-level (楼中楼) comments: those are collapsed by default behind the "展开 N 条回复" (expand N replies) UI, and the lookup process now actively expands that section before matching. To make targeting more accurate, pass the comment_id along with the reply content.

  Steps given in the thread:

  1. Upgrade the xiaohongshu-mcp server package to v2.2.2 or later.
  2. Call reply_comment_in_feed with your reply text and the target comment_id.
  3. No extra step is needed for second-level comments; the tool expands collapsed reply threads automatically during lookup.

  No client-specific configuration was reported in the thread. Note that nobody in the thread confirmed having tested the new version yet, so the exact behavior after upgrading is not independently verified here.

  What @xpzouying tried on GitHub (Outcome unclear)

  The maintainer suggested upgrading to v2.2.2 and using the new reply_comment_in_feed tool, passing comment_id for more accurate matching of the comment to reply to. No one in the thread reported back on whether they tested it.
