npx antigravity-awesome-skills --claude: skills not detected by Claude Code

When I run npx antigravity-awesome-skills --claude on macOS, the installer clones the entire repository into ~/.claude/skills, so the actual skill folders end up nested under ~/.claude/skills/skills/. Claude Code never picks them up and they are not available for use. How do I get Claude Code to see the installed skills?

This was a real bug. The issue was first closed as works-as-designed, but the maintainer later confirmed the layout was wrong and fixed it — update the package and re-run the installer.

The original installer cloned the whole repository into ~/.claude/skills, producing a nested ~/.claude/skills/skills/... layout plus README, docs, and license files at the top level. Claude Code expects skill folders directly under ~/.claude/skills (for example ~/.claude/skills/concise-planning/SKILL.md), so the nested layout was never discovered.

Fix (maintainer's change): re-run npx antigravity-awesome-skills --claude with the updated package. The installer now clones into a temporary directory and copies only the contents of the repository's skills/ folder into the target, giving ~/.claude/skills/concise-planning/SKILL.md, ~/.claude/skills/lint-and-validate/SKILL.md, and ~/.claude/skills/docs/. Existing full-repo installs are migrated automatically (you should see "Migrating from full-repo install to skills-only layout..."), and re-running on a correct install prints "Updating existing install...". Fresh installs, migrations, and re-runs were all tested. The same behavior now applies to the --cursor, --gemini, --codex, and --path targets.

Manual workaround if you cannot update: one user confirmed that moving the contents of ~/.claude/skills/skills/ up into ~/.claude/skills/ makes the skills appear in Claude Code.

What @sickn33 tried on GitHub (Worked)

Maintainer changed the installer to clone into a temporary directory and copy only the repository's skills/ contents into ~/.claude/skills, plus migrate existing full-repo clones. Tested for fresh install, migration, and re-run.

What @khu834 tried on GitHub (Partly worked)

Moved the skill folders up from the nested location directly into ~/.claude/skills/, after which Claude Code picked them up. Also mentioned cloning the repo elsewhere and symlinking the wanted skills into ~/.claude/skills/, but the thread does not state whether the symlink approach actually worked.

What a GitHub user tried on GitHub (Didn't work)

Ran npx antigravity-awesome-skills --claude on macOS; the installer cloned the full repository into ~/.claude/skills, leaving the skill folders nested under ~/.claude/skills/skills/, and Claude Code did not detect them.
