Claude Code /plugin marketplace add fails to clone wshobson/agents
When adding the wshobson/agents plugin marketplace in Claude Code 2.0.13 on macOS 26.0.1, I follow the /plugin interactive prompts and enter
wshobson/agents, then get "Failed to clone marketplace repository: Cloning into .../.claude/plugins/marketplaces/wshobson-agents". Another user hit the same error in WSL. How do I add this marketplace successfully?Originally asked on GitHub: https://github.com/wshobson/agents/issues/85

The issue was closed as completed after the repository owner updated the README with installation instructions using the full HTTPS URL format. Entering the shorthand name
wshobson/agentsthrough the interactive prompts failed; the command that worked in the thread is:bash/plugin marketplace add https://github.com/wshobson/agentsOne commenter confirmed it works, and the owner said this should work without needing any SSH configuration. The README now shows the full-URL format. There was no code change or new release mentioned in the thread, so if the shorthand form fails, use the command above. A later commenter asked "Still no?" but no reply is recorded in the thread, so the fix may not cover every environment.
A commenter also noticed the terminal got confused during the failure and guessed that Claude was attempting to clone over ssh and showing a hidden prompt to accept; that was not verified in the thread.

Hit the same error when running Claude Code in WSL; suggested the problem might lie with Claude Code rather than the repo.

Did this work for you? What @lindner tried on GitHub (Outcome unclear)
Observed the TTY getting confused during the failure and guessed Claude tried to clone over ssh with a hidden prompt to accept; not confirmed.
