    How do I connect the Zed editor to Docker mcp-gateway?

    I use Docker's mcp-gateway to manage MCP servers for AI coding tools and I'd like to use it from the Zed editor. Does mcp-gateway support Zed as a client, and if so, what is the command to connect it?

      Zed support is implemented and the issue is closed as completed. A contributor confirmed on 2025-10-02 that mcp-gateway now supports Zed with:

      docker mcp client connect zed

      The thread documents no additional flags, configuration files, or setup steps — this single command is the whole fix. If the command is not recognized, your mcp-gateway is likely older than the October 2025 change; updating the plugin is the general remedy, though the thread itself doesn't cover upgrades. Beyond the connect command, client-specific details are not discussed in the thread, so check the mcp-gateway docs for your version if you need more.
