How do I let AI agents add comments to Sentry issues via getsentry/toolkit MCP?
I use the getsentry/toolkit MCP server with AI agents such as Clint and want agents to add comments to Sentry issues, for example to reference code changes that caused or fixed an issue. The feature request from July 2025 was closed as COMPLETED. What is the current way to enable comment functionality through this MCP?

Fixed: this request is closed as COMPLETED. In a June 2026 comment, a contributor says they recently shipped getsentry/sentry-mcp PR 1052, which should make it possible to add comments to Sentry issues. The maintainer added that those tools require ?experimental=1 right now.
No configuration example or client-specific flag location is given in this thread, so read PR 1052 for the exact setup and tool names. Earlier in the thread, a maintainer explained that Sentry already has many MCP tools, the tool limit was pegged at 45 at the time, and extending update_issue looked finicky, which is why a dedicated comment tool was deferred. The experimental tools are the current path; the thread does not show a stable non-experimental configuration.
