Supabase MCP keeps asking for re-auth every 6-12 hours in Claude Code?
Using supabase/mcp with Claude Code 2.1.132 on macOS (darwin-arm64), I get a re-authentication prompt every 6-12 hours after authenticating. Is this expected? Other people also see daily re-auth in Codex and the Codex VS Code extension. Is there a fix or is this a known bug?

Still open. A maintainer acknowledged on 2026-05-15 that this behavior is not expected and said the team was investigating, but no fix or workaround has been posted in the thread. Later comments confirm the same issue with Codex and the Codex VS Code extension, so this is not specific to Claude Code. No configuration change, CLI flag, or version pin in the thread resolves it. If you are affected, the practical move is to follow the GitHub issue for updates rather than assume your token setup is wrong. Some users suspect it is a token refresh problem, but the maintainer has not confirmed that. General advice: repeated auth prompts are often caused by short-lived access tokens, so if you control the Supabase token TTL you can test with a longer-lived token; however, that is not a fix confirmed in the thread.

Authenticated normally and waited; the client displayed a re-auth prompt again after roughly 6-12 hours.
