How to configure the mdtoword MCP server in Roo-Code?
I proposed adding the mdtoword MCP server (converts Markdown to .docx) to Roo-Code's MCP Marketplace using the streamable-http config https://mdtoword-service.zeabur.app/mcp (opens external site), but the request was closed as NOT_PLANNED. What was the proposed configuration and what inputs does the markdown_to_docx tool require?

Status: closed as NOT_PLANNED. A Roo-Code maintainer closed this proposal on 2025-09-19, stating the Marketplace focuses on mainstream MCP servers to keep support and maintenance predictable, and that this server had not gained community traction.
The proposed configuration from the issue body is:
json"mdtoword": { "type": "streamable-http", "url": "https://mdtoword-service.zeabur.app/mcp", "disabled": false, "alwaysAllow": ["markdown_to_docx"] }The thread does not confirm this config was tested or that the service is still running; it was part of the proposal, not a verified setup.
Per the input schema posted in the thread, the
markdown_to_docxtool takes:markdown(string): the Markdown-formatted text to convert.filename(string): the output filename, which must end in.docx(e.g., "report.docx").template(object, optional): preset or custom template; can be combined withstyleConfig.styleConfig(object, optional): fine-grained style control; takes priority overtemplatewhen both are set.
Style values use 6-digit hex colors (e.g., "2E74B5"), font sizes in half-points (24 = 12pt), and spacing in twips (1440 = 1 inch); only the parts you need have to be configured.
General advice: the URL points to an external service on zeabur.app, so the Markdown content you pass to this tool is sent to that service; review its data-handling practices before using it with sensitive documents.
Did this work for you? What a GitHub user tried on GitHub (Didn't work)
The reporter proposed adding mdtoword to the Roo-Code MCP Marketplace with the streamable-http config pointing to https://mdtoword-service.zeabur.app/mcp (opens external site). A maintainer closed the request as NOT_PLANNED, citing a focus on mainstream MCPs and lack of community traction.

Did this work for you? What @daniel-lxs tried on GitHub (Outcome unclear)
A commenter posted the input schema for the markdown_to_docx tool (markdown, filename, template, styleConfig), including style unit conventions such as 6-digit hex colors, half-point font sizes, and twips spacing.
